“Really excited to launch John Elliot in Europe. These are the best basics out there, and the ultimate layering pieces.”

“Jerry Lorenzo continues to re-invent staples with a unique twist. This is a great way to get on the military trend that was featured heavily for AW15, a season ahead.”
“SS15 was yet again another amazing collection from Neil Barrett. His track pants have become a staple in my wardrobe, and this linen style is the next addition.”
Left - Neil Barrett – Black Linen Blend Trousers - £355
“My favourite piece of the season…enough said.”

“Drawing inspiration from French painter Odilon Redon, Valentino’s SS15 menswear collection fuses menswear wardrobe staples with couture, and this butterfly embroidered Harrington jacket embodies that approach. “
Left - Valentino – Men’s Camubutterly Embroidered Blouson Jacket - £1350
“2015 could quite well turn out to be adidas’ year. London Collections Men was like a fresco peppered with Stan Smiths and Superstars. Meanwhilandals are becoming more than just holiday accessories; technical strapped sandals can be seen by many brands across both genders. Y-3’s Kaohe sandal is a standout sandal: combining Yohji Yamamoto’s thoughtfulness with Adidas technology: these feature adiprene cushioned soles. Socks are optional.”

“Whilst Christopher Raeburn’s AW15 collection entitled “Raft” drew inspiration from the sea (sharks, inflatable dinghies, etc.) his SS15 collection “Meridian” was all about the air. This packable backpack is made with recycled polyester fabric and features Swiss Riri zippers. “
Left - Christopher Raeburn – Men’s Black Pack-Away Backpack - £179
“With a new brand name (it’s Acne Studios now) comes increasing momentum in Jonny Johansson’s Stockholm label. SS15 had a relaxed American feeling with coach jackets making a premium statement along with oversized shirts reminiscent of 1950’s soda parlour uniforms. Menswear is seeing a slow migration away from the slim silhouette and fuller trousers with larger seats are becoming a lot more prevalent. “
Left - Acne Studios – Zooty T Cotton Trouser - £270
"Over several seasons, now, Raf Simons' collections have become increasingly less about fashion and more about art; most obvious with AW14's Sterling Ruby collaborated collection. Whilst a cliché to mention Raf’s interest in youth culture, for SS15 this interest was personal: it was his own youth. Where the mood-board ends and the collection starts has become distorted. This sweatshirt whilst containing seemingly random images are all of deeply personal relevance to the designer."
Left - Raf Simons – Men’s Rollercoaster Printed Cotton Sweatshirt - £220
Damien Paul, Head of Menswear at MATCHESFASHION.COM
"This coat is from our newly-launched in-house collection, RAEY – it’s full of useful building blocks that will slot into your wardrobe easily. And, let’s face it, in this country you’re going to need a coat until June, so it’s well worth spending on."
Left - RAEY - Cashmere-Blend Overcoat - £695
"Pinstripes were a bubbling trend this season, but looked best when they were shown in a more relaxed shape. I love the slouchy fit of these J.W. Anderson trousers – they’ll look great with a pair of white sneakers."
Left - J.W. Anderson - Pleated Pinstripe Trousers - £395
"Tomas Maier’s newly expanded menswear collection was one of my highlights – it’s where to go for no-nonsense, unfussy clothes. Consider these boots the new standby to wear with jeans."
Left - Tomas Maier - Suede Desert Boots - £330
"We’ve been fans of Christopher Kane’s menswear for several seasons – so we’re very excited about the launch of his first line of men’s bags. This backpack is finished with his signature buckle closure."

"Menswear is shifting in a looser, more relaxed direction – the oversized cut of this Valentino shirt is a nod to the new mood that will see you through the summer."
Left - Valentino - Oversized Short-Sleeved Shirt - £440
Sam Lobban, Senior Buyer at MR PORTER.COM
"‘Tis the season for a Gilet. Gilets work if you want to add some Italian-inspired casualness to a tailored outfit. I really like this deep inky indigo colour with the washed denim detailing."
Left - Stone Island - Quilted Gilet - £375
"One which we're all very excited about MR PORTER HQ for FW14 is Visvim, and this is one of my favourite pieces. You will never need another denim jacket again."

"Remi Relief is one of my favourite brands from Japan, they recreate classic West Coast 50’s surf with a Japanese twist. I really love this beautifully soft plaid patchwork shirt."
Left - Remi Relief - Button Down Patch Check Shirt - £265
"Another Japanese brand, nodding to the Urban Traveller trend that seems to be running through Contemporary Menswear at the moment. These are great with an outdoorsy boot or fashion sneaker."
Left - White Mountaineering - Cargo Pants - £275
"Yuketen is another new brand for FW14, these boots are very special. Handmade in the US, they’re a feat of design and construction beauty."
Left - Yuketen - Blanket Paneled Boots - £675
