No, this isn't the 'Subject' of a recent Spam e-mail, but an Australian survey, released today, saying "handsome men command 22 percent more in wages than their average-looking counterparts'.
We're not quite sure what 'average-looking' actually means; being something fairly subjective and hard to quantify. It also went on to say that 'below-average-looking men are paid 26 percent less than plain-looking colleagues'. Which basically means Quasimodo should be on Jobseeker's allowance!
The research carried out by Andrew Leigh, formerly of the Australian National University, and Jeff Borland, of the University of Melbourne proves what TheChicGeek has been saying for all these years - the need for male grooming.
Guys, by being well-groomed and looking after yourself you can move up a 'handsome' bracket. Okay, so, we're not all born as 'ridiculously good looking' as Zoolander here, but we can certainly make the best of ourselves. Our American cousins have been practising and preaching this for years, and now what better way to prove it than with your bank balance. A good haircut, clear, healthy skin and a nice odour will (hopefully) take you from below-average to average or average to handsome and have this reflected in your pay packet.

It does sound shallow, we know, but it works!
