Hot List - The Black Bouclé Coat

Chic Geek coat men's boucle jigsawI often get asked via my AskTheGeek section how to remove bobbles from clothes. Well, how about getting a coat that couldn't possibly bobble anymore?!

This beauty from Jigsaw is one of my favourites of the season and a total men's must-have. Made from a large bouclé fabric, it feels like a cross between a jumper and coat: perfect for those days to cocoon yourself against the cold.

Keep things simple underneath, such as here with a polo knit and slim jeans or trousers, and you'll be fine and dandy when it's cold enough to wear it.

#OOTD 54 - Warhol GEEK 2/4

The Chic Geek andy warhol selfie polaroidIf only Andy Warhol was alive today to see the rise of the selfie. A pioneer of self promotion, the king of pop art knew exactly the power of his own image.

TheChicGeek, on the other hand, has become a pop icon in the men's bloggersphere, thanks to his stylish persona. The coolest geek in town, he knows exactly how classic and chic a black leather jacket, Breton striped top and denim jeans can be.

Never one to shy away from the camera, watch as The Chic Geek turns himself into a work of art.

#OOTD 22 – Pinstripe Day 4/4

the chic geek pin stripe suits menswear styleIt’s the end of the day, literally, and after a long day blogging, TheChicGeek likes nothing better than a good book – TheChicGeek’s Fashion, Grooming & Style For Men – to be precise!

Kicking off his shoes, he still looks the part in his double breasted pinstripe suit and, thankfully, his geeking for the day is done.

#OOTD 21 – Pinstripe Day 3/4

the chic geek ootd men's style fashion bloggerThe only thing predictable about the British weather is its unpredictability. Teaming a warming roll-neck with his double-breasted pinstripe, TheChicGeek is always prepared, whatever the weather. The geek means business and never leaves home without a stylish umbrella to ward off those raindrops and stop his ginger paint from running!

the chic geek menswear style blogger fashionStart the #WorkingGeek in style in a pinstripe suit. The theme for this month’s OOTDs, pinstripes, combine the historical City of London with the new professional age of blogging.

TheChicGeek turns the commute into catwalk as he waits for the 8.05 train to Chicsville. Go classic with a white shirt and traditionally patterned tie. TheChicGeek means business!

#OOTD 53 - Warhol GEEK 1/4

The Chic Geek as andy warhol leaving the factoryThe American pop artist, Andy Warhol, embodies modern male dressing: slim shapes in simple clean lines. The model of the 1960s Beatnik, Warhol, in his early career, liked to stick to his uniform of dark denim, striped Breton tops and leather jackets.

A master of his own image, TheChicGeek couldn't help but try his hand at becoming Andy Warhol, well, for 15 minutes at least!

Tonight, Matthew...

#OOTD 19 – Pinstripe Day – 1/4

the chic geek menswear fashion styleNothing says ‘London’ or ‘Business’ quite like pinstripes. This classic tailoring material is having a renaissance, right now, in new slimmer shapes and contemporary cuts.

On my daily pilgrimage to ChicGeek Towers, every sartorial i is dotted and t crossed before I leave the house. Today, I've opted for a bespoke grey Loro Piana made bespoke by Kingdom and teamed this with a pop of brightly coloured merino knitwear. The rest is classic London - bowler hat, monk strap shoes and briefcase. And, TheChicGeek's blogging day begin...

Buyer's Guide - AW15 - Finaest.com

Finaest.com Founder, Luca Catalano

Cordone shirt the chic geek"Cordone shirts are really well known for the superior, high-quality fabrics and vestability. This shirt is a style staple yet offers a peculiar sleeve stitching that sets it apart.  Shirtmakers Cordone construct their shirts by stitching the first two parts of the body, front and back, and then re-attaching the sleeves to guarantee the best fit possible. I love mixing up different styles to mirror my personality and this versatile Cordone shirt in jeans paired with a jacket is real must have for me this season".
