It must be all that Flemish DNA because Dries van Noten mined a rich tapestry of ideas, quite literally, for this SS17 season. He said he was inspired by the British Pre-Raphaelites and their love of turning their art into woven wall hangings and this transfixed itself into quilted bombers, wide trousers and crocheted scarves.
Dries always does a good theme and is one of the best menswear designers there is. The shirt, here, will look great with shorts, a sort of renaissance Hawaiian shirt, and the wide trousers is part of the movement away from tight, slim trousers. This is classic Dries.

I didn’t really know very much about Tim Coppens, I actually thought he was American, until I attended his AW17 show in Pitti in Florence. Born in Belgium and graduated from the acclaimed Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, according to his website, he has worked with various prestigious luxury and sports-performance brands before founding his own label in New York. In 2012 he received the Ecco Domani Award for “Best New Menswear Designer”. The following year he was awarded the Fashion Group International Rising Star of the Year. Most recently Coppens was the 2014 winner of the CFDA Swarovski Award for Menswear and a top 10 finalist for the LVMH Prize.
This year he has been nominated for the CFDA “Menswear Designer of the Year” Award and the ANDAM Fashion Award.
His collection was luxury sportswear with retro references and styling. And he knew how to fit a trouser which always puts a designer in my good books. This quilted coat is a very versatility piece, but add shorts and a T-shirt and you're ready for an English summer.

Pronounced ‘Loh-wev-eh’, Loewe, is Spain's premier luxury label. Designed by Northern Irish designer, JW Anderson, it is producing some of the most directional and top quality menswear ATM.
This season was inspired by the beach: shells, rope and boats decorated tops, jackets and accessories. Gold leaf on denim brings to mind the warmth of a summer sunset. This shell tote is stunning and a real standout piece. Who said life was a beach?!

Coach Creative Director, Stuart Vevers, has been slowly building Coach's fashion credibility. Expanding the American brand's fashion collections, including a full menswear show in London, the British designer is adding cool to Coach's accessory heritage.
This season was all about contrast leather jackets and buffalo checked knitwear mixed with an element of 90s grunge.

Summer dressing just got a whole lot easier thanks to the pyjama shirt. Jump out of bed, put your head on and you're good to go.
American menswear brand, Brooks Brothers, knows a thing or two about seersucker. This most American of fabrics comes in the colours of the star spangled banner, this season, in contrasting stripes.
Team your shorts with a matching hat and contrasting polka dot trainers. What rhymes with Nantucket?!

The eyes have it at Fendi menswear for SS16. Those pesky bugs have multiplied and become a coloured abstract on jackets and accessories. Team with turned up chinos and chunky boots as we transition into spring.
The other print is a kind of computerised camouflage which works just as well on its own or clashed here with those famous Fendi bugs.

Always running around town like there's ants in his pants, TheChicGeek opted for them on his bag, this season, thanks to Paul Smith's new SS16 collection.
The look has a feel of the 80s, the Memphis Group with a dash of Beetlejuice thanks to the shiny fabrics and monotone prints.

When will I, will I be famous! TheChicGeek is channeling late 80s boyband, Bros, this Spring/Summer 2016 season, in his double denim ensemble of ripped jeans and trusty bum bag. Soulland is a Danish brand established in 2002 by designer Silas Adler and known for its Scandinavian attention to detail. TheChicGeek just needs to find a suitably stylish twin!

This is young menswear designer, Daniel W. Fletcher's first collection - he's already won a ChicGeek Award - This, his SS16 collection, was picked up by American retailer Opening Ceremony and is emblazoned with 'Peckham Pony Club', in reference to the social change inner city areas are experiencing, particularly in London.
Peckham in South London was once the preserve of Del Boy and his three wheeled van, it's now become another hip(ster) neighbourhood as people have been priced out of the centre or want to move in closer from the suburbs. Daniel's collection has that retro Cardin/Courrègges futurist vibe going on with its white, baby blue and red palette. The shaved fur trims and cocoon leathers add a luxurious touch while the Peckham Pony Club slogans add a humourous and fun touch. This #SS16 collection is far from pony.

Get your motor running! Channelling a little bit of James Hunt by way of the Bay City Rollers, TheChicGeek gets a large dose of 70s in this look from Topman Design's AW15 collection.
The jumpsuit is a major trend for this season. Add the badges and the bright colour and it becomes glam-rock fantastical. Hold on tight!
